I really love this blanket! it's supriseingly light and warm. The oly problem I have is that the wool is shedding at an alarming rate. It's almost like a longhaired dog that lives on my bed as I am constantly cleaning up the balls of wool. At this rate, I doubt the blanket will last more than a year. But it's not that big of a deal at only $90.00.

Just received this magnificent hand made blanket directly from Ecuador and it is far, far more than what I expected. 100% Alpaca Wool, 100% highest of the highest quality. So soft and smooth. Believe me, I am more than satisfied with the quality of this product. Didn't realized the divine natural softness that I was missing by using synthetic blankets at home. This is NOT 100% WOOL as described! Smelled like smoke when arrived. When a piece of its fiber was burnt with a match - it melted and rolled into a dark little ball !!! Seller said - "no, this is pure wool", "while some people think the quality can be checked by burning the fiber, the experts disagree". The seller had no idea why it smelled like smoke, but I couldn't return the item now, since I had already washed it.
